Energy recovery is another approach to humidity control that uses energy from one source to provide energy for other work in the same system. Through the use of subcooling (reducing refrigerant temperature in the liquid line below saturated temperature), energy is recovered and as much as 15 to 20% additional capacity is added to the evaporator. The energy required for this is taken from the leaving air of the evaporator coil and, depending on the airflow the coil handles, results in a 7-10 degree temperature rise. The result of this is that more capacity is gained in the liquid subcooling phase than is lost in the air reheating. The energy savings can be seen in the fact that the compressor KW does not change. The result is a remarkably efficient system. Like all Seasons•4 systems, it offers:

Seasons•4 has built its history on solving unique heating, cooling and air quality problems. Our company began as a custom HVAC manufacturer in 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia.
We can custom-engineer an HVAC system for almost any need. Typically, we are called upon to find ways to upgrade old systems to provide better performance and efficiency.
